SUBSTITUTES: ACTIVE SUBS FROM 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR WILL HAVE A PRE-RECORDED SUMMMER SUB PRESENTATION/TRAINING SENT TO THE SUBS DISTRICT EMAIL ADDRESS BY THE THIRD WEEK OF JULY TO WATCH WHILE WORKING THE FIRST ASSIGNMENT FOR 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR. /
SUBSTITUTES: After a comprehensive review process, GCS has selected Red Rover as our new substitute management system beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The district will also require subs to work at least 20 days starting in the 2026-27 school year. To help ensure a smooth transition, we will provide a pre-recorded summer substitute training presentation, along with an instructional video on how to use Red Rover. We will also offer several Zoom training sessions for substitutes who would like additional assistance or support. Additional details, including training materials and session dates, will be shared in July. /

SUB Reminder: Students first day back is August 11, 2026 (Tuesday). Daily Subs are NOT needed for August 4 - 7 and Aug 10. Subs should NOT accept daily sub jobs for these dates, as no students are attending school. Long Term Teacher subs should check with school Administrators for start date. /
Reminder to All Substitute Teachers: Substitutes are expected to remain the full duration of their scheduled assignment (3.75 hrs, half day or 7.5 hours, full day. Substitutes are compensated based on either a full day (7.5 hours) or a half day (3.75 hours), and it is expected to be present and available for the entirety of the time they are being paid. Substitutes must remain on campus during planning periods, including when the planning period occurs at the beginning or end of the day; sub may be assigned to provide coverage in another classroom as needed. Substitutes should not leave early or be dismissed by another staff member and must check with the school's designated Substitute Administrator prior to leaving campus to determine if additional coverage is needed. /
